The Government of Nicaragua and the World Bank awarded Constructora MECO the project that gives continuity to a major project that has been growing in the Caribbean region of the country since 2015.
Constructora MECO works in the replacement of two 13-km sections of rural roads in the area of Bluefields. This way, the project will be expanded to a total of 72.6 km, so the road also connects with the area of San Francisco, in Managua.
The Improvement Contract for Naciones Unidas route – Km +100 San Francisco area will be 46.10 km long, with a road built in 18-cm thick hydraulic concrete, 2 bridges and both horizontal and vertical signaling.
This new concession will allow to definitively connect the Caribbean with the rest of Nicaragua and thus bring progress to neighboring communities that have faced serious difficulties of land communication
“Projects in Nicaragua are a very important step in the expansion strategy of company in the region. It was the first country where we were welcomed when we decided to go expand abroad, more than 20 years ago, so we hope to deliver a project with exceptional quality and estimated times”, said the spokesperson.
The road Nueva Guinea-San Francisco will be built under the highest quality criteria, respect for the environment and occupational safety, according to the operation standards of Constructora MECO in Central and South America.
