Labor inclusion for populations with disability is a very relevant issue in Central America, with efforts to have policies in place that guarantee respect, dignity and development towards these persons.
Constructora Meco, seeking to become a completely inclusive company, and in alliance with the Meco Foundation, has created the “Incluir” Program, which objective is to provide access to employment to persons with disability that are fully able to perform work for the company. These populations are often undervalued, but the company wants to give them the opportunity to develop in full their potential under adequate conditions that may allow them to grow as individuals and as workers, feeling comfortable at the worksite.
This effort contemplates a series of additional measures such as infrastructure adjustment, equipment accessibility and, in particular, timely and effective education for our employees. This is a new process for our company, but we are sure that it will produce very positive results on a short-term basis, with the effort of all of us who are part of this great company.
With adequate opportunities, we all can be productive for society!
