San José, Costa Rica. “El Financiero” weekly from Grupo Nación gave Constructora Meco’s president an honorific mention in the Expansion category. A recognition to the vision, leadership and persistence of Carlos Cerdas Araya in consolidating operations in South America and Panama.
Constructora MECO, a 100% costarican company, was founded in 1977 by Angel Américo Cerdas to whom his friends called Meco and his son Carlos Cerdas Araya.
Since 1992, the company began operations in the Central American region. In the future, the company plans to expand to Peru and Ecuador and consolidate its presence in Colombia. In 2014, Constructora Meco won three concession projects in Colombia that will connect the southern region with the capital. These projects are estimated at $500 million dollars.
The grounds for this important award is Cerdas’ highly capable team of professionals, their sense of belonging and compromise.
