With a turnkey contract, Meco carried out the studies, design and construction of the passenger terminal buildings, the control tower, and the fire department building for the new Enrique A. Jiménez Airport. Furthermore, the project included the reconstruction of the existing 1.8 kilometer runway, the construction of the 3.6 kilometer taxiway and the aircraft parking platform, among other complementary works.
