NO.9 AS PER THE 2020’S CLA50

Every year , since 2011, the CLA50 ranking is published by the KHL publishing house, which ranks the main construction companies with presence in Latin America. Since 2018, Constructora Meco has been in the top ten.

Gross sales revenue in US dollars is the basis for the analysis, which defines the positions each company ranks. This new list, published in October 2020, shows the economic results of the previous year.

Ranked in ninth place in the most recent edition, Constructora Meco is the only Central American company in the ranking, where it competes head to head with companies from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Spain, Mexico, Peru and Portugal. Meco kept the same position from the previous two rankings.

To define the ranking, this important magazine considers the data that the construction companies provide through a survey prepared by their own specialists, complemented with data from the stock exchanges and superintendencies, as well as audited accounting and statements from companies and other respected expert organizations in the field.

The Top 10 in Detail

CLA50’s top 10 for 2020 is: First place – Chilean Sigdo Kopper; Second place – Spanish Sacyr; Third place – Brazilian MRV Engenharia; Fourth place – Portuguese Mota-Engil; Fifth place – Peruvian construction giant Graña y Montero. Number Six on the list – Another Chilean firm SalfaCorp; Number Seven – Brazilian Mendes Júnior Engenharia; Number Eight – Mexico’s Carso; In Ninth place – The only Central American company Meco. In Tenth place – Chilean Besalco , closes this prestigious list.
